Destination wedding Alexandra & Joshua

Alexandra and Joshua’s Big Day is a great example of a boho chic wedding that incorporates elements of nature along with some romance and individuality.

Her dream was to have a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen and Alexandra contacted us in January 2019: “After reading several wonderful reviews, I decided to ask about Blue Venison for my wedding …” He said he didn’t know where to start, but After a call with Mari, one of our wedding coordinators, she sent us an email saying, “We want a really relaxed, intimate, and simple wedding with no color scheme in mind” and a list of all the services and items that would have been charmed.

Alexandra prepared in the Blue Venado bridal suite with her MOH, mother and mother-in-law and had a beautiful preparation session with them, while Joshua and all the guests stayed at the Xcaret Hotel. A refreshing pineapple margarita, some fresh water, and a few minutes later they were all seated.

The stunning seabed was accented by a huge triangle decorated with two wonderful flower arrangements: bold, warm red tones mixed with an earthy, neutral palette that blends perfectly with our tropical setting. Joshua and the wedding party are in and Alexandra’s parents escort her down the hall to Sleepy at last. “Every little thing she does is magic.”

It was a brief and charming ceremony officiated by a family friend that created a very intimate moment. After taking portraits along the water and in our “wild spot,” our newlyweds joined guests for cocktail hour: the bar was open and traditional margaritas, mojitos, and signature drinks were served.

People were invited to find their place at the reception table: a large U-shaped table in the middle of the palapa, a boho matte place, rusty napkins, pampas grass vases, some candles, rope lights and a little rust, orange, green flowers. After the grand entree dinner was served: A 3-course gourmet menu started with a caprese salad, then a steak topped with black truffles and foie gras sauce or a Scaloppine & Risotto chicken with mushrooms (based on previous selection of the guests) followed by a chocolate with rum sauce.

The guests were happy and super satisfied. Chris Stappelton’s “Whiskey Tennessee” notes that he invited Alexandra and Joshua to the dance floor and after their first dance as a married couple everyone joined them. They wanted to add a Mexican element to their big day and a piñata was the perfect way to entertain children and adults, but you should have seen people’s faces when a churro cart arrived and started making fresh churros. It was a wonderful day with a magical atmosphere! They said the wedding of their dream destination had come true!
